  • Days that Shook the World Series I and II

Drama Reconstructions of key moments in history told through the prism of first person testimonies of the people closest to the action itself. From closing down Dealey Plaza in Dallas to drinking Margaritas with the Newman family, the closest spectators to JFK when he was shot; to filming a Palestinian hostage sequence, with actors armed with replica AK47s, spray painting Arabic slogans in a live army base with extremely jumpy guards; to having a replica of the Crown painstakingly, and expensively, created, only to be smashed up, this series brought history alive again for both viewer and production personnel.

  • Home

Two Scottish Italians living in Italy talk about their ‘confused’ nationality: from the man who became Mayor in his forefather’s village and attempted to make a 9-hole golf course in a cow field, to a mosaic artist working for Dolce and Gabbana in Milan unsure who he is.

This is the film that changed my life. After working in drama for five years I decided to see if I could make a documentary and ran away to Tuscany during winter 1998, armed with a camera, a map and an Italian phrase book. Three months later I returned with a film, a fiancée and a passion for documentary...
